About Us

History

In 2000 a group of Roanokers were looking to start a new church and discovered that Sovereign Grace Churches desired to plant a church in Roanoke. For 2 years, nearby Sovereign Grace churches sent their pastors on the weekends to help start and disciple this new church. In spring of 2002 Bruce Chick, fresh out of the Sovereign Grace Pastor’s College, became the senior pastor of Sovereign Grace Community Church. The following year, Spencer Vaughn joined as the associate pastor. In 2014, Colin Campbell came on bi-vocationally as a pastoral intern.
